script for question 1
Max: For this first part of our evaluation we will explain how our media product develops or challenges forms and conventions of 'real' media products.
Ashleigh: In this first screen shot we establish 2 characters a police detective and a witness the shot shows very stereotypical types of behavior reinforced for this scenario (the detective is stern while the witness is very stressed and very uneasy)
In this shot we see another development of convention for this movie the witness holds up evidence (which we see with the use of an over the shoulder shot) this is a standard stereotype of 'real crime as evidence is shown in a crime scene environment.
In this shot we see the stern faced detective giving a rather judgmental look to the witness we feel the witnesses emotion through the use of the over shoulder shot we see how the witness sees it reinforces stereotype because this is how a police detective would act in an interrogation
In this shot we see how convention is challanged we have no idea who this man is the stereotype that has been set up that the detective is serious and is in the know of his situation isnt as full as we hope as we see this charecter. Who is he? what does he want? why is he important in this script?
